What the app does. Courtside Coach provides a full suite of coaching tools: a real-time live tracker for logging player stats, substitutions, and game flow with a built-in scoreboard; a visual playbook canvas for designing and storing offensive and defensive sets; detailed analytics with trend charts, player comparisons, and team effectiveness metrics; and printable match reports with full quarterly breakdowns. Coaches can manage player profiles, schedule and log training sessions with attendance tracking, record game results, and track substitution patterns. The scouting module lets you build opposition reports, identify key threats, and assign defenders. Dedicated parent and player portals keep families engaged with stats, schedules, and team updates — all without the coach having to manage separate group chats or spreadsheets.
Why we developed it. Most basketball coaches at the grassroots level are volunteers or part-time staff who don't have access to the professional-grade tools that elite programmes use. We saw coaches scrambling with clipboards, WhatsApp groups, and tangled spreadsheets — losing hours to admin instead of focusing on player development. Courtside Coach was built to close that gap: professional-level coaching tools, accessible from a PC, tablet or phone (Tablet for courtside), affordable for any team, and designed by people who understand the game.
